One advantage of the software is that it is easy to use and non-destructive. The reason that the program is safe is that it is read-only and includes a non-destructive iPod data retrieval utility. The iPod Data Recovery software can even restore files on different types of iPod devices, such as the first generation, Nano or Shuffle.
The program has the capability to retrieve and restore files from an iPod even if a deletions or formatting was performed. Both possible types of iPod formats are supported by the iPod Data Recovery software, as well as drives that are not formatted.
